Circularity rate in Italy in 2023: great news for the environment
Share
Italy takes a step forward towards a more sustainable future! According to the most recent data from Eurostat, the rate of circularity of materials in our country in 2023 reached 20.8 %. We are in second place in this particular ranking, behind Belgium. This result, although still far from the set objectives, represents a positive and encouraging signal, demonstrating that efforts to promote recycling and the circular economy are bearing fruit.
What does this mean in concrete terms? It means that an ever-increasing percentage of materials is recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle, thus reducing the amount of waste destined for landfills and limiting the environmental impact. This is an important milestone not only for environmental protection, but also for our economy, as the circular economy creates new opportunities for work and innovation.
How can you contribute to circularity?
You too can do your part to support this positive trend! Small daily gestures can make a big difference:
- Choose products made from recycled materials : Check the labels and opt for items that highlight the use of recycled or recyclable materials. Our company, for example, only deals with refurbished electronic equipment .
- Recycle properly : Separate waste according to your municipality's instructions and make sure you dispose of all recyclable materials correctly.
- Buy consciously : Choose durable, quality products that last over time and reduce the need for frequent replacements.
- Give objects a second life : Before throwing something away, ask yourself if it can be repaired, reused, or donated.
20.8% is a good start, but there is still much to do. By continuing to promote responsible behavior and choosing sustainable products, we can help make Italy an example of circular economy worldwide. Join us in this commitment to a greener future!
